The Embassy of Hungary, Doha has joined the online appointment booking system for consular services. Appointment booking by e-mail, phone, or personal appearance at the Embassy is no longer possible. The only way to book an appointment is through the online appointment booking system.
In order to facilitate the administration procedure, please consider the following:
- Clients only received by previously booked online appointment;
- Please arrive at the beginning of the allocated time slot;
- Please bring the required documents, forms, and attachments;
- In case of illness, or symptoms of illness, please refrain from visiting the Embassy.
Payment is possible by bank card only, we do not accept cash! The Embassy of Hungary has a new payment system, therefore the prices have to be paid in EUR. Please make sure you can make international payments with your bank card!

General Consular Services
Please note that a prior appointment has to be booked for each consular affair.
- Passports for Hungarian citizens
- Registration of birth, marriage and death, voluntary acknowledgement of paternity
- Obtaining documents from Hungary (Birth Certificate, Police Clearence Certificate, Certificate on family status)
- Hungarian citizenship (naturalization, simplified naturalization, citizenship verification)
- Declaration of stay abroad
- Authentication, legalisation, attestion
- diplomatic attestation
- can be carried out for documents with MOFA stamp to be used in Hungary
- fee: 25 EUR/stamp
- authentication of copies
- copies can be made at the Consular Section when the original document is presented and the certified copies need to be used for a Hungarian authority. Please bring the original document as well as a copy.
- fee: 20 EUR after every 6 pages or in case of different documents 20 EUR/copy.
- authentication of signatures
- By certifying a signature, the consular officer confirms that the person indicated in the document was physically present and signed it in front of him. The signature must be executed in person in the presence of the consular officer or must be acknowledged in his presence.
- fee: 30 EUR/signature for personal signatures and 40 EUR/signature on behalf of a company.
- authentication of translation
- the Consular Section can authenticate Hungarian/English translations made by translation companies in Qatar or has the possibility to make an authenticated translation to Hungarian or to English.
- fee for authentication of existing translation: for Hungarian 20 EUR/page; for English 30 EUR/page.
- fee for making an authenticated translation: to Hungarian 35 EUR/page; to English 45 EUR/page.
- please note the Consular Officer may refuse to certify the translation of documents that are not related to consular activities or that require special linguistic knowledge.
- diplomatic attestation
